On Friday afternoon, Iranian missiles struck the city of Haifa and other areas across Israel, causing significant material damage and multiple injuries—some reported to be in serious condition. This marks one of the most intense missile attacks since the recent escalation between Israel and Iran began.
Israeli Channel 12 reported a direct missile hit on Haifa, resulting in extensive damage. The Israeli emergency services confirmed at least 17 injuries at the scene, with several in critical condition. According to the channel, 12 of the injuries occurred in Haifa alone, and five of the wounded were transported to Rambam Hospital with conditions ranging from moderate to severe.
The Israeli Army Radio also confirmed that Iranian missiles landed at multiple sites throughout the country. Fire and rescue services reported widespread damage in central Israel. According to Israeli media outlets, approximately 20 missiles have struck so far, targeting various locations—including the field broadcasting headquarters of Channel 14 in Haifa, a station known for its alignment with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The strike was reportedly carried out using long-range Sejjil-3 missiles, according to Iranian outlet Noor News.
The attack coincides with the announcement by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of the launch of the 17th wave of “True Promise 3,” which they described as a complex missile barrage involving heavy and long-range projectiles.
Iranian Foreign Minister stated that the attack was a response to an “Israeli aggression” that targeted peaceful nuclear facilities inside Iran. He emphasized that these facilities are under international supervision, denouncing the Israeli strikes as unjustified and in violation of international law. He added that Iran is determined to defend its sovereignty and called on the signatories of the Geneva Agreement to take responsibility for what he described as a “blatant act of aggression.”
Israeli Channel 13 warned of potential hazardous material leaks due to the missile strikes, as a state of high alert continues across Israeli cities amid fears of further waves of attacks.
